It's date night! This week I decided eating alone in a bar looked rather sad, so I brought my boyfriend along with me. There's one thing you should know about us though, when we go out to eat, we go out to eat! That being said we ordered enough food to feed a third person. Let's dive right in:

For starters, this bar and grill looks pretty average driving past, but inside it is HUGE. The lighting inside was a bit bleak so snapping some pics was a bit hard. Although I didn't get a picture in the main dining area, this is the "outside bar".

The menu itself was filled will plenty of off-the-wall dishes, with the typical bar favorites like wings, burgers, and sandwiches. Feeling the need to go big or go home, we ordered two appetizers, and three entrees (one to split).

First up came our apps, some cheese curds and "Philly cheese rolls". As a lover of cheese, these curds met my standard all the way. They were still melty and warm, and the house made ranch complimented them really well. Their only downfall is that their were hardly breaded so there was no satisfying crunch that you usually get when biting into a cheese curd.

Next up is the Philly cheese rolls. These were a bit of a flop. This "roll up" was composed of the typical beef, provolone, onions and peppers, all wrapped up in a wonton wrapper and fried. It looked like an egg roll from the outside and tasted like a knock off Philly sandwich. To start, the veggies made the fried exterior really soft, causing it to fall apart. If you could manage to pick it up and eat it, you would notice that it was excessively salty, and that they managed to sneak some kind of chipotle ranch sauce in their and ruin the whole thing. Sorry Craft'd, but in the words of Randy Jackson: "It's a no from me dawg."

Next up are the entrees, we ordered wings, a chicken sandwich, and a foot long grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was essentially a slice of bread cut horizontally from a loaf, rather than vertically, then topped with cheddar and pepper jack cheese. Grilled cheese is one of my favorite foods, combining my two loves, carbs and cheese. Although I prefer my grilled cheese to buttery when fried, this one was still pretty solid. The pepper jack cheese brought out a little bit of spicy to the sandwich, drawing my attention way from the fact that the bread was not my favorite. Whatever they lacked in quality, they made up from in quantity with this monster sandwich.

Now onto the wings. Feeling the need to get something outside the box, we ordered "Cool Ranch Doritos" and "Fireball" flavored. And yes, they are exactly what you think they are. The Cool Ranch wings tasted AMAZING. B-Dubs really needs to step up their game after these guys, because WOW. The only downfall with these wings is that the flavoring is excessively powdery, so trying to eat it you wind up inhaling these "Doritos dust"and choking in the process. Although well worth it, I didn't expect my food to make me feel like I was back in 2013 doing the cinnamon challenge. Now onto the actual cinnamon challenge, Fireball. I don't have anything positive to say about these wings. A) It didn't taste like cinnamon or fireball, just really gross liquor. B) It had an very foul vinegary aftertaste. C) It was distastefully sweet. The only way I can see someone eating these and enjoying them, is if they are already a bottle deep in Fireball and are looking for something to finish them off.

Lastly, the chicken sandwich. In the words of my boyfriend "It's so clucking good." It was gone before I had a chance to snap a pic, so I'll let that speak for itself.

Overall I'm glad I visited this restaurant and got a taste of their food, but I don't think I'd come back. If you want to check out this place for yourself, they're located at 16031 S Lincoln Hwy, Plainfield, IL 60586. You can check out their menu here and let me know what you think. Would you try the fireball wings? Let me know in the comments down below!
